ID Review: 5 Tips for Picking the right Smartphone from How Stuff Works
Hi Guys!
For my Blog this week I'd like to have this "Picking the right Smartphone" topic because I know many people would actually need their smartphone. To start of check out this article of "How stuff Works" about picking the right smartphone. They discuss every small details of the topic through 5 tips. They start defining the features through a little bit of introductions about smart phones in general before proceeding into the tips itself.
How Stuff Works: 5 Tips for Picking the right Smartphone
They start on the 5th tip which was "Make Sure You Actually Need a Smartphone" this part is like comparing why you need to buy a new smartphone and check your current phone. This part is quite unnecessary because for me that's why I'm searching on picking the right smartphone I actually want or need to buy a new one. Next step is tackling about your carrier to your intended smartphone, what if I just like to buy a new smartphone because I want to try other phone as well or just for entertainment. This part I think, by just reading the title many readers would just skip this one. Next, is about your budget. This topic is quite useful specially for those with limited budget. Next, is about finding the right operating system, I just don't feel why did they incorporate this one to the other tips it's like the first 3 tips is more on why to use and buy a smartphone while this one focuses on the specifications. Lastly, the last tip is to play around after you pick your smartphone. This one is like why do you need to read all of those tips if in this tip you can just try it yourself in the samples of the store itself.
Overall, their tips is too wordy. They should include something like comparing a specific phone to other brands and see the differences. In that way, they can discuss their tips in more efficient way. They may focus also on 1 thing like specs to specs comparison or just more on "why to". I expect this article entitled "5 tips for picking the right smart phone" would give me like
1. Choose your preferred brands....
2. Compare their products by edition....
3. Compare the operating systems....
something like technology wise explanations of smartphones or like things you need to do when choosing the right smartphone. You would also try to look at this link: http://www.knowyourmobile.com/features/1450415/how_to_choose_the_best_smartphone_for_you.html
I think they provide more details in choosing by giving an example of what to see and the phones to compare rather than just explaining it.

Facebook App: Brain Buddies
Hello There!
So I was playing this facebook app "Brain Buddies" to have a high score and rank :)) but it also measures your mental reflexes because of its fast time limit per stage. It measures you through memory, logic, math, and visuals. At the end of the game as you complete all stages it will measure your "brain weight" through your progress.
|
Here are sample stages of the game:

Memory Stage |

Visual stage |
This game is a online facebook game which requires you to have an internet and a facebook account to play. it should also have more stages or more phases per stages so that the pattern is not repeatable in a way that the player memorize how to figure out every stages and not learn from it unlike if they randomize the phases and content of the game it may help them to acquire a high score or a low score depending on their difficulty. There are some phases in the visual part that it should not suppose to be there, like arranging numbers/letters in descending or ascending they should have other stages that covers those phases because the player expect the visual part to like a figure differentiation only.
If you want to try playing it, Log in your facebook first then this link: https://apps.facebook.com/brainbuddies/?fb_source=search&ref=ts&fref=ts

ID Review: Animation Typhoon Guide
Hi Guys ! My blog for today is about an animation about
typhoon that I saw in youtube. So this animation tends to teach how typhoons
are formulated or how they started from a depression up until then typhoon
itself. This animation also covers the parts of a typhoon like the center, the
tail, etc…
The animation itself is quite good in a way that they show
the movements of the air before it became a typhoon. Otherwise, the content
itself or the elements in the animation is quite lacking of information. They might
add some more explanation or illustration of the air movements and its stages
before ending into a typhoon. And one thing about this animation is that the
content is lacking and mostly it does not have any elements to supply
information the animation is only supported by text! So in a short animation
with lacking information they might add some voice over or sound effects this
is most likely an IM job but for the job of the ID in creating the content is
not properly cooperated by the IM.

ID Review: 7 Segment Display Tutorial
Hi Guys! My Blog is about "7 segment Display" by allaboutcircuits.com. Basically it teaches the viewer on how the 7 segment display works. It is basically for students or circuit geeks who want to use a 7 segment display for a project or anything else. The site first introduce the materials needed, learning objectives, the circuit itself and the draft of the finish product.
I Think this would really motivate the people who are interested in circuits unless they will not bother to read it all. We once use this material for our project in DIGIDES where we involved in using the 7 segment display to display D--L--S--U that's why we really searched for many instructional site about the 7 segment. The discussion is quit long, and highly instructional. Every details of the circuit and the display was discussed in pure text, so you might be able to be confuse or dizzy of his explanation. His learning strategy is good because he showed the the circuit itself first and the finished draft before explaining everything else. Because our DIGIDES professor told us that before we explain something in a document of the circuit we should first show the whole circuit itself so that the reader would have something to look on while reading. For me this tutorial is appropriate for college students or older because of its complex explanation and highly about circuit design.
This tutorial should have videos with voice over after the explanations. because some people may not find the tutorial useful because of its purely text information. they may get tidy of reading it so they might have videos or even animation to show the flow of the circuit and how it actually display at the end. Here's the link of the site, feel free to comment :)))
