ID Review: 5 Tips for Picking the right Smartphone from How Stuff Works
Hi Guys!
For my Blog this week I'd like to have this "Picking the right Smartphone" topic because I know many people would actually need their smartphone. To start of check out this article of "How stuff Works" about picking the right smartphone. They discuss every small details of the topic through 5 tips. They start defining the features through a little bit of introductions about smart phones in general before proceeding into the tips itself.
How Stuff Works: 5 Tips for Picking the right Smartphone
They start on the 5th tip which was "Make Sure You Actually Need a Smartphone" this part is like comparing why you need to buy a new smartphone and check your current phone. This part is quite unnecessary because for me that's why I'm searching on picking the right smartphone I actually want or need to buy a new one. Next step is tackling about your carrier to your intended smartphone, what if I just like to buy a new smartphone because I want to try other phone as well or just for entertainment. This part I think, by just reading the title many readers would just skip this one. Next, is about your budget. This topic is quite useful specially for those with limited budget. Next, is about finding the right operating system, I just don't feel why did they incorporate this one to the other tips it's like the first 3 tips is more on why to use and buy a smartphone while this one focuses on the specifications. Lastly, the last tip is to play around after you pick your smartphone. This one is like why do you need to read all of those tips if in this tip you can just try it yourself in the samples of the store itself.
Overall, their tips is too wordy. They should include something like comparing a specific phone to other brands and see the differences. In that way, they can discuss their tips in more efficient way. They may focus also on 1 thing like specs to specs comparison or just more on "why to". I expect this article entitled "5 tips for picking the right smart phone" would give me like
1. Choose your preferred brands....
2. Compare their products by edition....
3. Compare the operating systems....
something like technology wise explanations of smartphones or like things you need to do when choosing the right smartphone. You would also try to look at this link: http://www.knowyourmobile.com/features/1450415/how_to_choose_the_best_smartphone_for_you.html
I think they provide more details in choosing by giving an example of what to see and the phones to compare rather than just explaining it.
